Syros
"The Queen of cyclades"

Syros, the “Lady” of the Cyclades. With a rich history and unique attractions, it stands out for its architecture, cosmopolitan atmosphere and wonderful beaches. Classic as well as modern, it strongly combines the Cycladic character with the urban culture and architecture. The capital of the Cyclades, very close to Piraeus and Rafina, but also with a daily air connection with Athens and Thessaloniki, is waiting for you to explore.

Megas Gialos

The coastal settlement of Mega Gialos is located on the south side of Syros and at a distance of just 12 km from Ermoupolis, the capital of the island. Visitors are invited to discover the small beaches of the settlement one after the other, to swim on the homonymous beach with the golden coast, to visit the catholic church of Agia Thekla, the church of Agios Antonios, but also the quiet beach of Ambela.  The region provides many options for accommodation and food and is an ideal choice especially during the windy season, as it is naturally protected, due to its location.

Megas Gialos lies in the vicinity of Poseidonia, formerly known as Delagratsia, which was for many years a favorite greek upper class resort. The neoclassical villas with towers and large gardens depict the 19th century era  recreating the feeling of luxury cyclading living.
